Christmas Party 2008

The Shotojuku Dojo had its 26th annual Christmas Party on December 20th 2008.The annual party brought together members of the Shotojuku family and friends.There was plenty of potluck food, refreshments, and dancing.
November 2008 was a very bad Month for the Shotojuku Family. Shidoin Edward Nieto and his best friend Alex had a near-fatal automobile accident in November. Shidoin Nieto was in intensive care for almost a month. His heath has improved a great deal since than and he hopes to soon be back training and teaching. A group of dojo parents donated raffle prizes to raise funds for his recovery.
Also in November, Shotojuku member Victoria Angueira lost her Husband, a U. S. Marine on active duty, in a freak accident in Australia. The Shotojuku family would like to give our condolences to her family and friends.
It was a difficult year and hopefully the spirit of the holidays will touch our lives with heath, peace, love and joy.
