Grand Re-Opening and Dedication

Shihan Kai Leung was invited to the Grand Re-Opening and Dedication of Noh Shi Martial Arts in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania. The event was covered by the local TV station and was broadcast live on WSBG radio.

Along with Shihan Leung, senior advisers, Shihan-Dai Lucy Lora, Shihan-Dai Elliott Rosenblatt (Honbu Dojo), and Shidoin Thomas Pressimone (Pennsylvania) also attended the special event. The day started off with Washi (Paper-Cut Art) by Shihan Leung and painting the Dojo Daruma doll (traditionally painting one eye of the doll signifies the beginning of a life-goal).

Demonstrations followed with Sensei Robert Molerio and students doing ukemi and ren-dori from the Iwama style of Aikido. Western Fencing was demonstrated by Noshi Martial Art's Fencing students.

Students of Noshi Martial Arts did demonstrations of Karate Kata, Team Kata and Kobudo for the Grand Re-opening Celebration.

Shidoin Bernard Clemons (Honbu Dojo) demonstrated Kobudo with the Bo and Sai. Shidoin Cesar Moreira (Honbu Dojo) demonstrated techiques from Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Jun-Shidoin Jacqueline Soto, Edward Nieto and Senpai Derek Santos (all Honbu Dojo ) demonstrated synchronized kata Gojushiho-Sho.

Senpai Eric Soto demonstrated the Shotokan Kata Gankaku. Sensei Edward Nieto demonstrated the Shotokan Kata Unsu and Senpai Derek Santos demonstrated the Goju-Ryu Kata Superinpei (all Honbu Dojo).

Shihan Leung did a demonstration of how to use the Kake-uke and Tora-guchi from Superinpei.
